“O sonho americano” torna-se verdadeiro. No seu uniforme de saias, camisolas e sandálias, coroado por chapéus com pequenas penas, a elite da juventude americana beberrica batidos numa drogaria, na primavera de 1950.
The "American Dream" come true. In their uniform of skirts, sweaters and sandals, crowned by little feathered hats, the cream of wholesom American youth sip milkshakes in a drugstore in the spring of 1950.

SCALEXTRIC RACING CARS

Nos meados dos anos 60, as pistas da Scalextric eram um dos mais desejados brinquedos dos rapazes. Mesmo os Beatles eram fervorosos adeptos das corridas dos pequenos carros (à escala 1/32). Aqui os vemos em plena competição no sótão da mansão de John em Kenwood, onde este tinha instalado uma gigantesca pista. John era ferozmente competitivo e escolhia sempre aquele que pensava ser o carro mais rápido.
In the middle of the 60s, the Scalextric racing cars were one of the most desired toys of the youngsters. Even the Beatles were big fans of the small cars races (scale 1/32) . Here we see them in full competition in the attic of the mansion of John in Kenwood, where he had installed a gigantic racing track. John was fiercely competitive and he always picked up the one that he thought to be the fastest car.
